The term ‘Muesli’ is derived from the Swiss German word, ‘Mus’, which means mixture. It is made of whole-grains, nuts, fruits, berries, honey etc., in various healthy and delicious combinations. It is commonly consumed as a ready-to-eat breakfast cereal in various parts of the world.
Freeze-drying is an excellent way to preserve nutrients compared to other techniques like canning, candy-ing or sun-drying. This technology was developed to create nutritious and convenient food for astronauts going to out of space which we have brought to your breakfast bowl. The fruit are flash frozen and kept under vacuum pressure quickly sucking out all the moisture out of the fruit. What’s left is 100% fruit that is crispy and retains essentially all its original nutrient content with no added sugar or preservatives. Freeze-dried fruits are also fibre and antioxidant dense. Once you add back moisture in the form of milk or yogurt the fruits go back to their original juicy and soft form.
